In 1985, the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Endowment Foundation was established to support the current and future funding needs of Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Our Foundation encourages charitable support and oversees the management of charitable funds to benefit the patients and families served by Beaufort Memorial. Thanks to gifts of all sizes from our community, the Foundation has helped fund important programs and equipment for Beaufort Memorial, including the Keyserling Cancer Center, Pratt Emergency Center and the Cochrane Heart Center, making our community a better place to live and receive care.
You can contribute to the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation in a number of ways:
Have you remembered BMH in your will? Members of the Kate Gleason Society are a special group of forward-thinking community members who are partners with us in planning for the future. Their legacy gifts let us know that vital resources are in the pipeline to help us fulfill our mission to the next generations of patients. For more information visit our website: futurefocus.net/bmhsc/gleason.htm.
Who made a difference in your care? Join us in our efforts to save lives! A donation to Beaufort Memorial Hospital Foundation can be made in honor of a physician, nurse or any other caregiver. The caregiver will be notified of your recognition. Go to BMHFoundationSC.org or call the Foundation at 843-522-5774 for more information.
Hospital Volunteers
Volunteers give thousands of hours each year to our hospital to enhance the care of our patients and their families. They provide support throughout the hospital, including staffing the information desk, delivering mail and flowers, operating the gift shop and escorting patients. If you’re interested in volunteering at Beaufort Memorial, email Volunteer Services at
